Cadillac Ciel Gets production form

Cadillac Ciel. Who does not remember the compelling Cadillac Ciel Concept from last year?! The brand brought with it an ode to their meter convertibles from the 60s and 70s such as the Eldorado and Deville. Everyone saw him like going into production, including GM. And now given the green light whatsoever.

There is however a snag. It is not that the Ciel Concept (almost) unchanged later in the showroom. GM is looking for a new flagship for Cadillac and just wants to design elements of the Concept Ciel use that shape. As a concept for the future flagship of the American luxury brand, parent company a sedan in mind.

That the choice was made for the sedan and not a pomp-pomp-and-carriage Ciel is not without reason. Cadillac has an image builder in the U.S. market is not necessary, but a formidable competitor for the S-Class, 7-series and A8 which is increasingly gaining ground in the USA. With the new XTS can only resist, but when it comes to cachet even thinks that the worst of Cadillac must dig against the strong Germans. A model above the XTS, the heaviest weapon against the invaders.

Offensive
Anyway Cadillac is working on a model offensive to where luxury and comfort-seeking American and European drivers to convince it to provide the number-one brand. Thus, the ATS open the attack on the 3-Series, A4 and C class and are also the all-new CTS plus XTS up against the E-segment of the Germans and the Japanese (class of the BMW 5-series). A new Escalade is also in the making and as icing on the cake, we can expect showroom version of the ELR, the Volt in Cadillac.

Because every V6 twin turbo for a Nissan GT-R and now Juke-R largely by hand in each block is screwed no completely identical to the other. The result is that the power of the 3.8 liter engine fluctuates between 475 and 500 hp. For t ease Nissan announced then that the peak power was 485 horsepower. three counting
The half-million museum ripe Juke-R - because unfortunately, most wear their life - on paper good for 545 hp, but as I said, you never know. Measurements by Nissan that the cars driver in three seconds by the 100 can pop it. The top speed is set at 275 km / h. This is also considerably higher than the 257 km / h of the concepts.

slightly revised
Hard to see that the design of the Nissan Juke-R for production purposes something has changed. The lower part of the front spoiler and sills cum sideskirts are slightly different and also knows the diffuser at the rear a slightly different form.
